Ever thought about experiencing a White Christmas? Well now is the time to convert those thoughts into plans.
If Christmas means summer clothing, cold drinks and families gathering outdoors or even swimming in pools, why not trade all that in for coats, gloves and winter clothing and travel to an adventurous Christmas in the snow.
There are many wonderful locations in the northern hemisphere where you can experience the joys of snow melting on your face while beautiful Christmas carols sound in the background.
Colorado was the destination for our White Christmas. With many towns to visit there are plenty of exciting things to do as well as hitting the ski slopes. Georgetown comes alive with their Georgetown Christmas Market, horse cart rides down the main road and a tree lighting ceremony. Durango is the home to the Polar Express; the steam engine kicks into gear with festive music and rides for all the family to enjoy. And of course Vail, loved by many, is the ski town. But that’s not all Aspen has to offer it also celebrates the holiday season with concerts, ice-skating, and street entertainment.
Even though a white Christmas is not certain, New York is another exciting location
to visit over the festive season. Rockefeller Square is lit up with the joy of Christmas. Snowflake lighting falls down the buildings, Christmas trees larger than life and an ice skating rink in front of the golden statue, an adventure for everyone to appreciate. While snuggled under a warm blanket, with a hot chocolate or coffee in hand, the horse and carriage rides through Central Park offer wonderful scenery of New York during Christmas.
So pack those winter woollies and head north for the Christmas season. However, it can be overwhelming with a large number of destinations and journeys to choose from for your White Christmas experience. Don’t fret, I have all the tips and advice to put together a perfect White Christmas holiday – call for details, etc.
